Aromatherapy Benefits of Each Ingredient
Lavender Essential Oil: Lavender isn’t just your sleepy-time bestie—it’s also antimicrobial, antifungal, and antibacterial, making it perfect for purifying the air in your steamy oasis. Its calming properties are thanks to compounds like linalool and linalyl acetate, which interact with your brain to ease stress and encourage restful sleep.
Vanilla Extract: Vanilla’s warm, luxurious scent can help ease restlessness and anxiety. To me, it smells like luxury in a bottle. Plus, it adds a touch of indulgence to your nightly routine.
Coconut Extract: Coconut extract is more than a tropical treat—it’s known to enhance mood and relaxation. It’s like a mini mental vacation every time you take a whiff.
The Recipe Ingredients:
For a 3 oz plastic spray bottle (usually I recommend glass, but
20 drops of lavender essential oil
1-3 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1-2 teaspoons of coconut extract
Vodka (or grain alcohol) to fill the bottle
Instructions:
Add the lavender essential oil, vanilla extract, and coconut extract to your spray bottle.
Fill the rest of the bottle with vodka (or grain alcohol) and cap tightly.
At the time of use, shake the bottle well to mix the ingredients.
Spray the mixture onto your shower wall, being sure to avoid your eyes and the direct stream of water.
